The last time I posted about our wedding, we had basically nothing planned. But a few months have passed and we now have a date, a venue, a photographer, a DJ and a day-of coordinator. (Which in retrospect all happened like magic. What was I so worried about??) The last big piece of the puzzle we’re missing is a caterer but I’ll leave that alone for now because what I really want to talk about is SHOES.
Right off the bat I knew was that I really wanted to wear bright turquoise shoes for our wedding. It just seems fun! I’m designing my own dress and the shoes will show — and a little pop of color will be perfect with the pretty much white everything else. So when I saw these beauties in a magazine I thought YES. The matter of whether or not I will spring $695 on a pair of shoes I will wear once is for another time. Right now let’s just enjoy.
I am a pretty basic gal when it comes to footwear and since I’m keeping the dress comfortable, I love the idea of going a little more outrageous than I normally would with the shoes. To be honest, after the initial YES I did have a little hesitation (are they totally gaudy??) but that went away when I visited their website.
Her style is AMAZING. A little Mara Hoffman and a little Alexandra Valenti mixed into one dreamy funky site. I’d be so proud to wear her design on my wedding day! See another pair of her shoes I die for here. (and Here and Here.)
